A sandproof beach blanket keeps sand from sticking and lets it fall through or shake off easily. Many use nylon or polyester with a waterproof layer and sand pockets, and some include stakes to stop wind lifting the corners. Size and packability matter if you walk to the shore.
The six blankets below range from a 7 by 7 foot nylon mat to an 80 by 80 inch polyester blanket. Sizes, fabrics and anchor systems come from each product’s listing page. We have not used these blankets on a beach ourselves. Capacity claims such as “4 to 8 adults” are the makers’ own.
